In this issue, Andy and Jennifer-the siblings from issue #11-return, and become the focus of the entire issue, where it is established that Jennifer has a link to Man-Thing. This brings some humanity to the shambling mass, while continuing Steve Gerber’s effort to make a comic that is not about its title character.
There are also indications that Man-Thing’s swamp has magical powers.
