It was delivered by Marie Laveau, who appeared once before–in Tomb of Dracula–and is based on a real-life Louisiana voodoo priestess. She’s enslaved by Silver Dagger.
It brings an evil into his house that manifests and takes out Strange and Clea–the return of the villain Silver Dagger.
And it makes Clea shape-shift.
Spider-Man and then Ms. Marvel happen to be in the neighborhood, so they help out.
It’s the first time Spider-Man sees Ms. Marvel’s new (and much better) costume.
