Before Marvel dealt with licensing characters, it just ripped them off. Fortunately, Jack Kirby and Stan Lee’s Ka-Zar, who debuted in the pages of X-Men #10, wasn’t just a Tarzan copy. He came with The Savage Land, which provided fodder for many great stories to come.
The issue hit the newstands with a March 1965 cover date on January 5 of the same year.
