Lots of Hobgoblin stuff and foreshadowing for the “new costume is the enemy” arc, but for me the key to these issues is the return of the paper bag costume, rather than the red-and-blue or black costumes.
Spidey realizes that he’s wearing a living organism, and the Fantastic Four rip it off his body and put it in a cage.
He’s nekkid, so Johnny gives him a temporary costume.
Then classic Spidey returns.
