I still contend that it is a bad idea pairing Marvel’s only child heroes, whose book was popular with both young and mature readers, with one of Marvel’s darkest duos. But all things considered, this is one of Bill Mantlo’s better works.
Dagger goes missing. Cloak needs her light so he asks Katie Power to help. Then he and the kids go find Dagger. Turns out she was kidnapped by a light-sucking villain named Cadaver, who will never appear again.
And thank God.
