The Brood invade a small town and the X-Men solve the problem.
Also, Professor X mentally intrudes on Bishop’s shower.
At a time when there are probably over sixty mutants who we read about every month, and more than a half dozen intertwined regular monthlies, it’s kind of nice to get a self-contained done-in-one (or two) story that has absolutely nothing to do with Onslaught.
I agree. The biggest problems which have plagued the ‘X-Men’ franchise across the past few decades are Marvel and DC’s relentless lean into ‘woke-ism’, and the X-Men’s storyline having gotten so far off-concept. What the ‘X-Men’ franchise requires is a whole hell of a lot less “space epics”/ “Starjammers”/ ‘Shiar Empire’-type storyline, and a hell of a lot MORE ‘Jean Grey Institute For the Gifted’-type storylines. Leave outer space to Luke Skywalker and his buds, and concentrate on the original mission of the X-Men: Finding and saving mutants, and protecting the world from evil mutants! Less of a ‘Claremont’ vibe, and a LOT more of a ‘Lee-Thomas’ vibe!! X-celsior!!
