Teen Thor has to leave Asgard to take on the Sisters of Norn and while he’s gone, Storm Giants invade Asgard. Thor returns to find that they took Sif, goes to where Mjolnir sits, and, finally, is able to lift it.
He then rescues her—over Odin’s objections.
This has been a surprisingly good series. I don’t know if it was planned as a maxi-series of 12 issues, but it certainly reads that way. We’ve seen Thor become a true warrior. We’ve seen Sif beat out a bunch of other girls, all competing for Thor (okay, that’s a little sexist—but the story was good). Now, in the end…
