Last issue was about Thing’s childhood on Yancy street. This one focuses on his college days and an old girlfriend.
It starts with Ben trying out the old trenchcoat disguise, but bumping into postman Willie Lumpkin…
…Who gives him a letter that brings him into his past. The details don’t really matter. It’s pretty deep background on a character who was foundational to the Marvel Universe but whose personal history never seems to matter all that much. And, in the end, these issues won’t matter much either, but it’s interesting.
Also, in the end, there’s another FF break up. Reed wants to shut them down because Franklin is too vulnerable in a house of heroes.
This is pretty out of character for a dude who always seems to make his son a non-priority.
