
These final issues of The Pulse focus on the birth of the daughter of Jessica Jones and Luke Cage. Jessica bonds with other women while going through the pre-birth jitters, has the child, and receives a marriage proposal from Luke Cage.
Along the way, there are brief moments of esoteric superheroing and a mystery involving D-man of all people. Also, Luke wants a new costume and here’s the audition lineup:

Yeah, those all suck.
He doesn’t have to reject them all, though, because Jessica’s water breaks during the fashion show.
Jessica and Luke’s daughter doesn’t get a name in this story, and Luke doesn’t get an answer, but Jessica does make a decision in the final panels…

It’s classic Bendis: 50% dialogue and character work, 40% plotting, 10% action. 100% great stuff.
