Power Man & Iron Fist #123-124 (1986)

Power Man and Falcon stop a racist super soldier.  It’s a solid way to introduce themes of race and authority by an actual black writer, and Priest does a good job at handling multiple facets—including the “black community’s” view that Cage is an uncle Tom.  Then, in issue #123, Iron Fist gets a solo story that ties back to K’Un Lun (vaguely) and, while it is well-written, doesn’t really go anywhere.  But I think that’s because by this time writer Jim Owsley knew his book was going to be axed with issue #125, so he didn’t bother creating longer-term plotlines.
