At the end of #10, Forge asked Mystique out on a date.
She said yes. But of course, while they’re on the state they learn about a mutant child kidnapping and go to save the day. Only when they find the kid, they learn that he’s a telepath who actually engineered his own abduction by mind-controlling his kidnapper.
The kid forces Forge to fight Mystique, and she is only able to break the telepathic hold by telling Forge she loves him.
Another solid story from a series I expected to hate but I’m starting to love.
