I don’t know how he did it, but somehow Marv Wolfman managed to get Steve Ditko not only to stay on a regular gig at Marvel (Machine Man), but also to follow him over to this book for a fill-in issue introducing a new character who wouldn’t reappear for another thirty years.
It’s basically a Godzilla story.

I read somewhere that this was a Godzilla inventory story, and after they lost the license, they re-touched the art to remove Godzilla-isms. There’s one panel where it looks like he might be breathing fire, and there’s flames in the next panel’s landscape.
