Sometimes it’s hard to figure out whether a Marvel Knights book is canonical. This one is.
It’s also by Sam Keith, so regardless of what you think of the story it’s a joy to look at. But the story is interesting, too.
Both Wolverine and Hulk have a history of mentoring/protecting children, and specifically little girls whose parents are missing or cruel. The entry point for this story for Logan is a girl lost in the wilderness whose parents need to be rescued.
But by the time we get to the end, we learn that she is a ghost who needed Wolverine and Hulk to make her feel safe on Earth so that she could be released to heaven.
Yes, this is a complex story told with so much humor that the tale’s depth can be hard to see.
