In a cross between Frankenstein and Jack the Ripper, Hulk helps a blind girl escape a stalker who is some kind of mystical parasite feeding off the consciousness of a local teenage boy.
When Hulk kills the slasher, the boy goes into a coma.
It’s a fairly simple story, but the boy/slasher serves as a foil for Banner/Hulk. A very well done book. Peter David is getting into the character—there’s still no hint of the major changes to come, but he’s got a long time. His run goes on for years.
Also, Kim Metzger writes in–the woman who would later design Saturn Girl’s costume for DC.
