Matt has been “outed,” so he sues the rag that published the story. But that’s not the trial we see in this story.
Instead, this story concerns Hector “White Tiger” Ayala, who is falsely accused of killing a police officer. Danny and Luke, who are friends of the street fighter, ask Matt to represent him.
Matt can’t be Daredevil right now because of that magazine story, so he takes the case and we, the readers, get a full story about Matt Murdock’s amazing litigation skills–he barely appears in his red spandex.
But he still fails.
Hector grabs a baliff’s gun, terrified of the thought of going to prison, and ends up committing suicide by cop.
