Creator: Bob Layton

A personal favorite of mine, Bob Layton was part of the trio that made Iron Man matter.  The book had floundered pretty much from the beginning until Layton, David Michelinie, and John Romita, Jr., came along with Demon in the Bottle and many other great story arcs in their historic run.  He then did the same thing with Hercules in two miniseries that finally gave the character his own identity.

Other characters he helped created, series he helped launch, were the original X-Factor, Valiant’s Bloodshot, Bethany Cabe, Rusty Collins, Ghost, and Justin Hammer.
