Cassie Lang gets a lot of screen time here. She starts the issue in an Avengers t-shirt stopping some kids from killing ants before she gets kidnapped. Meanwhile, the team debates whether to keep Jack of Hearts or She-Hulk, since their radioactive natures react to each other.
Jack of Hearts and Ant-Man are at odds (Scott wants Jen to stay), but in the end Jack saves Cassie—and kills the kidnapper(!)—before seemingly killing himself by disappating in outer space because his powers are beyond his own control.
Of course it’s not the real death–true Avengers fans know that in 9 issues, he’ll be back to destroy the entire team.
For some reason, this page is an upside-down credit card.
This is Geoff Johns’ final issue, and he ends it with a focus on Jack of Hearts. Hey, look, kudos to Geoff Johns for trying to make Jack of Hearts matter but…It’s Jack of Hearts. Nobody cares.
