UNCANNY X-MEN #153 (1982): Kitty’s Fairy Tale

One of the greatest comics of all time.  And you know it’s true.  Here’s the top 5 reasons why….

5.  Guest Appearance by Fozzie Bear!

4.  Lockheed becomes a real, real big Dragon!

3.  The X-Men play baseball (a frequent event during the Claremont years)

2. A Tribute to Tasmanian Devil!

1. It’s the first appearance of the Bamfs…

…who later appear as stuffed animals in a sexy pose…

…That pays tribute to Stan Lee…

….And they fight over girls!

It’s also one of the best single-issue stories of all time, according to this objectively accurate list.

  1. Holy banality! If I want THIS kind of crud, I’ll fall back on my old back-issues of ‘Spidey Super-Stories’, or ‘DC’s Super-Friends’!! Pass! D- !

    • Seriously????? This story spawned dozens of copies and is still hugely remembered, half a century later. It’s not an “ordinary” story for sure, but I totaly appreciate something different and sweet for a change, in the midst of “the universe is going to end” stories.
