“Crisis on Twin Earths.” Clearly, this is designed as a reference to DC. My question is, what is this a reference to:
“The day of the week that was named for you”? I had to look it up. It was Thursday.
After they fight, Supreme Hyperion tells Thor he needs his help to make a movie.
This makes no sense at all. If this was the good guy Hyperion, they never needed to fight.
But something (kind of) significant does happen. The Supreme Hyperion meets the Sinister one. You can tell he’s the bad one because he uses contractions and bad grammar.
He casts the bound Supreme Hyperion off into space, takes his place on the movie set alongside the other Supreme members, and the issue ends with him posing as the hero and departing from Thor as a friend.
The issue is a one-off. I love Squadron Supreme/Sinister, and Roy Thomas is good at writing them, but this issue is…Not their finest moment. Awkwardly bad art doesn’t help matters any.
