I still think we could have done without it. Both Marvel and DC have enough of a hard time getting the world to take their comics seriously as it is without producing “dumbed-down” versions of their products. “Spidey Super Stories” is Marvel’s version of the first season of “The Super Friends”, which would have been a flawless Saturday morning cartoon without the inclusion of the insipid “junior” Super Friends, Wendy and Marvin. ( although Wendy was vaguely cute, and had her moments, such as that brief moment from Season One when she was bedazzled by Aquaman, from the episode “Dr. Pillagian’s War”, I believe )
