Silver Surfer returns to a planet that he protected from being Galactus’ dinner during his first decade of service as the big G’s herald to find that the people are in danger of being wiped out by a dragon. He fights the creature, and then learns that the people of the planet started it by trying to kill him first. But now he’s so mad at them that he won’t stop until all the people are dead. Surfer tries to make peace but accidentally kills the dragon, and then leaves the planet, disgusted by the whole thing. Surfer often takes these high moral plains, judging everyone else around him.
I still like Englehart’s run, even if it’s not as good as it was when it started, and I do like Ron Lim’s cosmic art as well.
