Series: Thing (1983-1986)

During Secret Wars, Ben Grimm discovered he could change from rocks to skin at will as long as he stayed on Beyonder’s Battleworld.  So when the Wars were over, he quit the Fantastic Four and stayed behind.  That was the idea.

Then John Byrne left the series and Thing returned to Earth to become a wrestler.
