Series: Howard the Duck (1976-1986)

This series ran with Steve Gerber as writer (and mostly Gene Colan as artist) from 1976 to 1979.  Gerber left in ’78, when Marvel refused to pay him creator-type pay.  It returned in 1986 for two more non-Gerber issues.

The comic had some truly great moments that advanced the medium in historic ways.
