ROM returns to Earth, along with fellow spaceknight Starshine, to find the Dire Wraiths have taken over the town of Clairton, West Virginia. Torpedo, who ROM left in charge of the town’s safety, failed miserably. Because Torpedo was so lame, Mole Man and his moloids have taken on the job of protecting Clairton. After he and ROM figure out that they’re allies not enemies, they team up and fight off the Wraiths. Starshine dies in the process, clearing the decks for ROM to get back romantically with Brandy–and for her to put on the Starshine armor.
During the recap, we see Galactus laugh. Don’t think we’ve seen that before or since.
