Moon Knight fights Thor!
No, of course not.
And while it’s true that Thing appears in this issue, he doesn’t meet Moon Knight and is completely inconsequential to the plot. Basically, he just admits to being a drug addict…
“Super Heroin?????” There’s no way to make this grammatical.
My guess is that the book, which was now a direct-market title, was suffering in the sales area and Editor in Chief Jim Shooter wanted to connect it to the broader Marvel Universe. It’s still pretty violent though…
The story involves a young man who idolizes Moon Knight…
…but his dad is a criminal/vigilante who calls himself Blacksmith.
MK dispatches him fairly easily.
Although it’s far from Moon Knight’s best issue, even a “meh” episode of this series has a lot of attitude and mood, and I dig it.
There’s a truly horrid backup feature by Jack Harris and Jimmy James–two guys I’ve never heard of and hope never to hear from again–about Marc Spector in his pre-Moon Knight mercenary days.
He fights a dominatrix.
Marvel also ran an ad for the series that was kind of cute.
