Mandarin’s latest scheme is to fight Iron Man with a robot version of The Hulk. Meanwhile, Tony Stark is still trying to seduce Janice Cord and get her recently-inherited business ventures. It’s a nice little bit of corporate intrigue, something that sets Iron Man apart from other Marvel books.
But the main event here is that Mandarin has figured out that Tony Stark is Iron Man.
Tony uses a Life Model Decoy to protect his identity, so there’s no lasting impact.
Also interesting: Both the hero, Tony, and the villain, Mandarin, use lifelike robot doubles in this story.
