The guy who preceded AND followed John Byrne on X-Men, and ended up being just as good.  He had a hand in creating some of the most unforgettable comic books of the ’80s, as well as characters like Colossus, Storm, Mystique, Corsair, Caliban, Magik, Moira MacTaggert, Black Cat, the alien races Shi’Ar and Brood, Gladiator and the Imperial Guard, and many more.
