Character: Mauler (all versions)

The Mauler armor looks really cool, but it’s cursed.  The first wearer, Aaron Soames, stole the tech from Edwin Cord, a competitor of Tony Stark, died in his first appearance, Daredevil #167.

The armor next appeared in Daredevil #176, worn by street informer Turk Barrett.  Turk doesn’t have great luck with it.

Stark took possession of it after DD #176, and the next time we see it, in Iron Man #156, it is being stolen by Brendan Doyle, a mercenary hired by Cord.  He managed to hold on to it for quite some time, but of course the design got loose again and was used by others.
