It’s very odd that this miniseries comes out concurrent with the huge Siege of Darkness event, but has nothing to do with it, doesn’t refer to it, and, frankly, it’s hard to tell if it takes place during or after.
Anyway, Johnny Blaze’s long-time girlfriend Roxanne Simpson had worked with an occult guy, who we never see again, to try to get Johnny free of Zarathos and that guy is back looking for payment.
That’s really the whole thing. Completely skippable.
Actually, it’s also significant that Bill Sienkiewicz does the inks, giving this book a much better look than it deserved.
