One story. One writer. Over a dozen artists, including five different pencillers.
That can’t be good.
Roy Thomas uses his opportunity (it was a 1993 editorial Annuals mandate) to create a new character (nearly every character created in these ’93 annuals will never be seen again) by creating a guy named Raptor who is a bird-man (i.e., he’s Angel, Hawkman, Dawnstar, Winged Victory, Black Condor, Zauriel, Blue, Jay, Red Raven, Birdman, etc.) and some robots.
The robots are Ultron-adjacent and capture the heroes.
But of course the heroes get free and win the fight.
This is painfully bad. And it cheapens how powerful Ultron is when he’s defeated fairly easily in a single issue.
