The Wizard #0 issues were short stories told in 616 continuity. Machine Man’s #0 came out after the first several issues of his own series, and it gives a little of the backstory of how Sebastian Shaw became aware that X-51 was back on-line. During a fight with Shaw’s Hellfire Club soldiers, X-51 gets offended by being referred to as a “machine,” which seems to invite parallels to Shaw’s own issues about being called a “mutant.”
