If we added Punisher and Spider-Man, we’d have all four of the 1990 staple characters in one story.
Actually, Wolverine and Ghost Rider are a good pair.
Deathwatch, from the pages of Ghost Rider, sends ninjas out to kill Ghost Rider and Wolverine. The heroes independently go after Deathwatch, and guess what happens when they meet for the first time?
One guess.
Yeah, they fight.
Then they make up and team up…
…and solve their mutual Deathwatch problem. The villain of course gets away so that the Ghost Rider comic’s status quo is not upset.
The punchline is that Deathwatch didn’t even know what was going on for the whole story–it was one of his henchmen impersonating him who was responsible for the shenanigans in this tale.
