While we get a little, fun sidetrack with some aliens for the Maximum Security tie-in and a cameo by Beta Ray Bill, Malekith is using the Cask of Ancient Winters to begin their next adventure. Specifically, Malekith freezes Asgard.
He also releases Kurse.
It’s truly an “epic” story, but the ending is funny. Malekith forced Sif to kiss him, so after he is depowered, Thor & friends watch her administer the coup de grace.
These are very well written, and the art is amazing. I haven’t enjoyed a Thor run this much in quite some time.
