Even though Venom’s last adventure was called “The Finale,” there’s a one-shot that really is the finale…Until 2003, when the character comes back.
At the end of Finale we were led to believe Venom was killed, but it turns out he wasn’t (of course). He seeks revenge on J Jonah for (it doesn’t matter what), fights Spider-Man, and even Mary Jane gets involved.
The issue ends with Venom being killed again by sound and Eddie Brock having complete amnesia.
