CABLE #101-104 (2002)

Cable gets involved in a war in Macedonia because the Macedonian army is testing a mutated virus to wipe out all Ethnic Albanians.

This is some hardcore content, and the book suddenly has a very “indie” feel. These are the last issues David Tischman writes, but I like where he went with it. He took the elements of Cable that were always the most interesting–like how the character is just a tough loner with a messiah complex who wants to stop bad things from happening–and dumps all the “Cable as daddy figure to young mutants” stuff that the continuity-heavy issues of this series often sinks into.

Not to worry. It will be cancelled soon.
