In the middle of a deep and complicated Hobgoblin epic, Roger Stern sneaks in a “What If?” story. And it’s good!
Technically, the story is about the dreams of various castmembers (including Black Cat, who wants to believe Spider-Man is really Cary Grant), but it’s hosted by The Watcher. Of course, we all know JJJ’s dream is deck Spidey.
This would have been a great Assistant Editors’ Month story, but it was three months before those issues came out.
