PETER PARKER SPIDER-MAN #13 (1999)

Venom recently bust into prison and ate Carnage, so now Kletus is just a dude in a cell. The splash page to #13 is his fantasy…

Despite his lack of powers, he manages to escape and he paints himself red.

Obviously, he’s nuts.

Spider-Man is just swinging around, stopping crimes.

He recaptures Cletus.

I kind of liked this exploration of a crazy criminal stripped of his powers. And Lee Weeks’ art is easy on the eyes.

  1. Someone forgot Kassidy is supposed to have aggressive stomach cancer kept in remission by the symbiote. Unless that got resolved elsewhere.
