It’s a short, humble tale that also checks in on the Puma-buying-Daily-Bugle and Robbie Robertson’s running from the cops stories. Those two threads have been weaving through the Spider-Books over a half-dozen issues so far—it’s kind of annoying because the progress is so incremental and you have to read three comics to follow it.
Overall, Gerry Conway is doing a good job on these books—I think the real problem is that he has to keep both titles up to date. If he could just write one book, either Spectacular or Web, and tell his story there it would be easier to follow and less subject to redundancy.
