Cable stumbles into a SHIELD operation where an agent is killed, which leads to him being tracked down by an insanely wealthy and powerful character named Jackie Singapore. He employs children as henchmen and uses his riches (and bombs) to control entire countries. Given Cable’s recent history, wandering the world fighting terrorism, Mr. Singapore wants Cable to work for him by spreading a virus that will scare the world into changing for the better.
Cable refuses. I mean, the guy is nuts. To escape Singapore, Cable hurls himself out of a helicopter into the ocean where, finally, his amnesia lifts.
