Iron Man #68 hit the stands on March 5, 1974. It was written by Mike Friedrich (creator of Ghost Rider) and drawn by George Tuska (the poor man’s Gene Colan). But the real contributor was Stan Lee, who mandated that Iron Man get a nose.
It totally changed the character’s look. And not for the better.
