Mike Friedrich signs off with the first 5-issue storyline in JLA history. Extended storylines were a rarity back in 1971, but were especially unusual in DC Comics. Too bad the story is kind of dumb. It’s about a space vampire named Starbreaker, and Atom saves the day by climbing into the enemies head (Iiterally).
But we also get a new origin story.
