This is a painted miniseries that features The Beast from Elektra: Assassin. The ghost of a blues musician helps Elektra stop The Hand from recruiting his son. The Hand are using the boy as a host for their dead–including The Beast–but that all ends when Elektra cuts off his head.
Yeah, that sounds bad and stupid and weird. It is weird, but it’s not bad or stupid. Very different, very off-beat. I enjoyed how unusual it was–both storywise and artwise.
The writer/artist, Scott Morse, has done work for Pixar and has been nominated for an Eisner.
