Fantastic Four #228 (1981)

Last issue, Franklin Richards saved the team from some aliens, and rather than revel in the wonder of having a powered child with a power, good sense of judgement, and a conscience, Reed calls in a doctor to examine his son.

And that’s the bulk of this issue—the doc performing tests on Franklin. In the end, Sue and Reed finally decide to accept Franklin’s powers and stop subjecting him to tests.

It’s a downtime issue, not bad–especially for a run that’s generally been subpar.
