Silver Surfer has been having adventures–and it appears intimate adventures–with Alicia Masters. But now Thing has returned from “the dead” (aka “Heroes Reborn/Return”), and Norrin goes to Ben to tell him that Alicia has been taken by aliens. Specifically by the “cosmic messiah” clone of Silver Surfer created by Alicia’s dad, Puppet Master.
They rescue her.
The best parts of this issue (and it is a good issue) are the ones where the awkwardness of the love triangle is acknowledged, like the above scene. And this one:
Thing lets Alicia go–a decades-long comic book romance ends. (For now.)
