Issue #41 is Sub-Mariner. He’s a really hard character to make interesting. It helps to have Marc Silvestri on art. But this isn’t a very good issue. C-
And finally Peter Gillis returns to write “What If? the Invisible Girl had died?” At least that’s what the cover says. The splash page adds “in childbirth.” It’s literally 24 pages of Reed Richards being sad.
Then Sub-Mariner joins the other three for a negative zone battle.
I’m not sure who thought this was a good idea. I mean, I get that mourning is part of life, but why devote 2/3 of an issue of What If? to it?
D
